Raised in the land of Ghana for the first 13 years of his life, Emmanuel developed an interest in art at the tender age of 5. Emmanuel’s curiosity for the arts peaked after he insisted his twin brother teach him how to draw the classic character, Captain Planet.
Moving to Boston, Massachusetts, in 2003, Emmanuel’s love and interest in art grew. Walking out of his computer class to negotiate his way into freshman art, Emmanuel’s skill set began to develop, and his inner talent began to manifest. In his senior year, Emmanuel earned a Gold medal for his portfolio in Advanced Placement Art.
After attending Massachusetts College of Art & Design, Emmanuel earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design & Fine Arts. Upon graduation, Emmanuel worked at IDE Incorporated as an Industrial Designer for five years and contributed award-winning designs. In 2020, during the pandemic, he realized his deeper calling was to become a full-time artist.
As a full-time artist, Emmanuel strives to bring awareness to social justice, religion, and mental health issues. His focus has been on humanizing the victims of addiction through his art by illustrating the various facets of addiction. Emmanuel also engages in other fine arts, commissioned work, and graphic design.
In his free time, Emmanuel loves to spend time in prayer, engage in church activities, relax and talk with his wife, Lydia and go on long walks.
