CROWN OF ADDICTION
In the events leading up to Christ's crucifixion, a crown of thorns was cruelly woven and pressed onto his head. This act of sadistic mockery served as a powerful symbol of humiliation, inflicting unimaginable pain upon him.
Similarly, addiction stealthily infiltrates our lives, stealthily stealing away our essence. It taunts and belittles us, stripping away any semblance of self-worth or dignity, leaving behind only empty shells. In this grim process, addiction bestows upon us a new identity, one that the world recognizes us by—a painful and suffocating crown of addiction.
Just as the crown of thorns serves as an enduring symbol, it urges us to feel empathy and sympathy for individuals struggling with any form of addiction. Extend a helping hand, to offer support and compassion to those trapped in the grip of addiction. By doing so, we can play a role in their journey towards healing, redemption, and restoration.
